Hi, I'm Kaley! I am so happy you are here!
I began making my own sourdough last summer after I purchased a starter from a local farmers market. Surprise! My first attempt was a fail. So I tossed the starter and I decided to make my own (so glad I did!). I instantly fell in love with the entire process and being able to enjoy bread that I made from start to finish. Unlike store bought bread, I know exactly what is in each and every loaf. Many "sourdough" products in grocery stores do not give you all the benefits true sourdough has to offer. See below ;)
I have loved making loaves for family and friends and am so thrilled to be able to share that with all of you!

The fermentation process can lead to an increased number of prebiotic and even probiotic properties.
Sourdough bread is not gluten-free. However, a 2021 review in the journal of foods found that sourdough consumption might help improve the digestion of gluten.
